Hole #1

Hole #1

Par 4 (Black Tees – 333, Red Tees – 320, Yellow Tees – 305, Green Tees – 275)

The first hole at Targhee Village offers a chance to get your round started with a birdie. This short risk reward par 4 gives players the chance to drive the green but danger still lurks as a miss to the right will find the pond and anything past the pin will leave a difficult up and in to a green sloping from back to front.

Hole #2

Hole #2

Par 3 (Black Tees – 235, Red Tees – 170, Yellow Tees – 165, Green Tees – 146)

This straight forward looking par 3 on first glance looks easy enough but playing a club uphill and usually into a head wind picking the right club is critical as a miss long, right or left will leave you with an extremely difficult up and in.

Hole #3

Par 4 (Black Tees – 411, Red Tees – 370, Yellow Tees - 364, Green Tees – 351)

This straight away Downhill par 4 requires places a premium on accuracy off the tee shot as players will have to navigate a creek and a pond on your second shot. Missed fairways will result in a punch out back into the fairway or a hero shot to try and cover the various hazards protecting this green.

Hole #4

Hole #4

Hole #4

Par 4 (Black Tees – 415, Red Tees – 380, Yellow Tees – 370, Green Tees – 360)

This uphill par 4 is the most narrow hole on the course as trees line both the right and left sides of the fairway. On paper this is a short par 4 playing uphill and into the wind a good tee shot is required to leave a short iron in hand to attach this elevated green.

Hole #5

Hole #5

Hole #5

Par 4 (Black Tees – 410, Red Tees – 405, Yellow Tees – 366, Green Tees – 352)

This beautiful par 4 marks the start of Spudgusta Corner. This downhill par 4 is framed by trees guarding the right and left sides of the fairway. Driver is not always the right play off of the tee as a lake surrounds this green and cuts infront of the fairway at about 100 yards from the pin. The green is the smallest on the course and requires the perfect club selection on order to walk away with a par on the most difficult hole on the course.

Hole #6

Hole #6

Par 3 (Black Tees – 195, Red Tees – 160, Yellow Tees – 134, Green Tees – 100)

This Par 3 is the signature hole at Targhee Village guarded by a lake in front and on the right side of the green. Players will tend to bail out left of the green, but with a large fall off this will lead to the most difficult up and down on the course as the green slopes towards the water a par on this short par 3 is a bonus.

Hole #7

Hole #7

Par 5 (Black Tees – 575, Red Tees – 522, Yellow Tees – 502, Green Tees – 403)

This is the first of back to back Par 5’s this hole plays uphill and into the wind so it will take two great shots to get home in two. OB comes into play on the right side so favoring the left half of the fairway is the best option. For players that want to push it down the fairway as far as possible on your second shot a creek cuts across the fairway at about 50 yards from the green so players will need to decide if they can carry the creek when thinking about your second. Once you make it to the green its no picknick from there as a giant ridge runs across the middle and being on the wrong side can make for an easy 3 putt.

Hole #8

Hole #8

Hole #8

Par 5 (Black Tees – 590, Red Tees – 554, Yellow Tees – 535, Green Tees – 495)

This downhill par 5 is reachable in 2 with the right tee shot players should favor the right side of the fairway as the fairway slopes hard from right to left. A precise approach shot is required as this green slopes off in all directions a miss short will give you the best chance to get up and down.

Hole #9

Hole #9

Par 4 (Black Tees – 445, Red Tees – 375, Yellow Tees – 349, Green Tees – 295)

This awesome finishing hole takes you back to the clubhouse a large tree in the middle of the fairway gives you a perfect aimpoint off the tee assuming you don’t hit it. Left is always better than right with Trees and OB looming. This is the flattest green on the course and 2 good shots should set you up with a good chance to end with a closing birdie.
